Night Glows
a poem by me.
Deep in my shame,
below the weight,
below those tame,
under the light,
for those who fight,
or fought or saw,
my beloved standing,
bare and raw,
night glows.
Under rays,
for whoever thought,
my heart the same,
I could have sought,
to find some refuge,
in what brought,
me to my rightful place,
where night glows.
Now I stand,
I sympathise,
I feel so bland,
to reminisce,
on days of old,
with those I love,
with those I sold,
I owed you nothing,
I owed them something,
I owe you nothing,
I owe them something,
I owe you nothing,
I owe them nothing,
I am alone,
where night glows.
